The UCSC Farm & Garden are situated next to the Pacific Ocean and fall into the USDA climate zone (in or around) 9b. We are considered a mediterranean climate featuring warm, dry summers and cool. mild winters. Thus, some of the crop related tips may be less relevant for those residing in more extreme climate conditions.
